Lara Gallagher is a French/British artist who, after following an international education in the South of France and Australia, moved to London to pursue her studies in the Arts. She has been based there ever since. Her work is influenced by her interest in modern day science and ancient pagan traditions.
The intricate ink and graphite drawings examine the threshold between our inner and outer worlds. Various forms of deconstruction, juxtapositions and over layering methods are used in an attempt to conciliate both. Through this scope a wide range of dichotomies are addressed.
Each piece is thought of and constructed as part of a larger project which refers back to the notion of individuality withing multiplicity.
